The results are in!

The brass|STUDENT PROGRAM Financial Literacy Month contest was a huge success. We received nearly 100 entries. There were so many excellent poster designs and videos that it was a very tough decision for the brass team to come to.

We are pleased to announce the winners of the 2013 Student Program Financial Literacy Month Contest:

Financial Literacy Month Contest - UPDATED with a photo of the prizes!

In a world where savings rates are plummeting and credit card debt is sky-rocketing, a group of high school students set out on an epic quest to tell the world about personal finance. The journey begins this April!

April is Financial Literacy Month, and the brass|STUDENT PROGRAM is celebrating Hollywood-style by hosting a contest for your students. The brass|STUDENT PROGRAM is inviting aspiring high school graphic designers and film-makers to create a poster or trailer for a movie about a personal finance topic of their choice.

'Working for yourself' is the theme for Spring 2013

You may notice something new about the next issue of brass (hot off the press next week) - a theme!

This quarter, brass tackles the topic of Entrepreneurship and explores it from many different angles.

Resources for this quarter will include:

  • Two new lesson plans covering an entrepreneurship case study and a marketing plan.
  • Article discussion questions
  • Issue vocabulary words

The 30 minute presentation will NOW BE HELD ON Wednesday, January 16th at 10 am (PST). To register your class, please email your name and school to studentprogram@brassmedia.com.

WEBINAR INVITATION: Preparing for the new school year with the brass|STUDENT PROGRAM
About this webinar:

This webinar will introduce teachers to new brass|STUDENT PROGRAM features for the 2011-2012 school year. The presentation will include important information about magazine distribution changes, new classroom tools and resources, and guest speakers.

Toward the end of the presentation, brass will unveil and provide a demonstration of the completely redesigned Student Program website.

The webinar will conclude with a question and answer session.
