April is National Financial Literacy Month
On Friday, April 2nd President Obama proclaimed April Financial Literacy Month. This is the seventh year that the government has designated this month in honor of the promotion of financial literacy. Many state governments have also signed resolutions and proclamations.

brass will be celebrating by visiting Oregon high schools throughout the month to talk with students about the money side of life. Beginning April 12th and continuing throughout the month, the brass|STUDENT PROGRAM - Oregon team will make presentations to schools in the Portland area as well as Eugene.
The brass|STUDENT PROGRAM - Oregon, presented by First Tech Credit Union, is a statewide initiative to strengthen high school students’ understanding of money by providing free personal finance resources and instructional materials to students and teachers. The Student Program reaches tens of thousands of students and is made possible by the generous support of First Tech Credit Union and Oregon Community Credit Union.
