When you think of what’s on the minds of most high school students these days, managing finances is probably not as high up on the list as the new car they’re dreaming of or the dress they’re buying for prom. But maybe it ought to be, since only 59% of young adults pay their bills on time, while most parents aren’t teaching their kids about saving and investing for retirement.

THE BRASS MONEY SIDE OF LIFE TOUR™ BRINGS ADVICE TO OREGON HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS In celebration of Financial Literacy Month, brass|MEDIA Inc, will visit high schools to talk with students about the money side of life™. Oregon high school students will get a crash course on money matters when brass|MEDIA Inc. visits high schools across the state in recognition of Financial Literacy Month in April. High schools in Eugene and the Portland area will host the presentations.
Oregon High School Students to Learn About the Money Side of Life

The brass|STUDENT PROGRAM – Oregon, presented by First Tech Credit Union, is a statewide initiative to strengthen high school students' understanding of money by providing free personal finance resources and instructional materials to students and teachers. The Student Program officially launches this fall thanks to the generous support of First Tech Credit Union and Oregon Community Credit Union.

Credit Unions earn Governor Award for Financial Literacy for the brass STUDENT PROGRAM
Pewaukee, Wis. - Wisconsin credit unions – not-for-profit, member-owned financial institutions owned by their 2.1 million member owners – have received their second consecutive Governor's Award for Financial Literacy for providing free to teachers and students at all 603 of the state's public high schools a personal finance program that supports state teaching standards.
